One of the most romantic and famous scores from the pen of Felix Mendelssohn, the scene music “A
Midsummer Night’s Dream” op. 61 inspired by the English writer W. Shakespeare’s comedy of the same name, the Sarajevo Philharmonic will perform with guests from Zagreb. In addition to vocal parts, it also includes purely orchestral parts, of which the world-famous Wedding March certainly stands out. The basic theme is imagination, illusion, the dreamlike dream of all the characters who entered the fairy forest, moving in the supernatural world of fairy forces, the atmosphere of a wonderful, fragrant and
moonlit summer night.
