On the occasion of commemorating 40 years since the Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo, a ceremonial academy and the premiere of Ravel’s famous Bolero will be held. The Opera Choir and Ballet Ensemble of the Sarajevo National Theater take part in the program, and the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra is led by conductor Vesna Šouc. More info at www.nps.ba

PETER AND WOLF concert for children
The popular symphonic fairy tale Peter and the Wolf returns to the Sarajevo Philharmonic! We are telling you an interesting and humorous story about a brave boy Peter who, with the help of animals and hunters, will try to catch a bad wolf. Mario Drmać leads us through the wonderful world of music and orchestra under the baton of Samra Gulamović. The concert will be held in the Youth Center Skenderija and is intended for children of preschool and school age. Entrance is free.

at the end of this calendar year, The Sarajevo Philharmonic will held a festive New Year’s concert to see off the old year and welcome the New Year. This concert is one of the hallmarks of our city, where the audience is offered a unique atmosphere with performances of an attractive and festive program. Through this year’s program, which will include works by composers such as Verdi, Bizet, Ginastera, Strauss, Khachaturian, we will be led by maestro Evan Alexis Christ and guest soloists soprano Renisa Lacka and tenor Jenish Ysmanov. For the first time, with the support of the City of Sarajevo, all citizens will be able to follow this popular concert through a live streaming on the LED screens at the Susan Sontag Square.

In Sarajevo, as well as around the world, the holiday season at the end of December is impossible to imagine without fairy-tale performances of the popular ballet P.I.Tchaikovsky. This year’s festive Christmas concert will be led by maestro Darijan Ivezić, with whom we will collaborate for the first time on our stage. The program will be enhanced with their performances by famous soloists, recognized on the European and world stages. The concert is already traditionally held in cooperation with the HKD “Napredak”.
