UROŠ LAJOVIC - conductor

Uroš Lajovic was born 1944 in Ljubljana. He graduated composition (1967) and conducting (1969) from the Music Academy of Ljubljana and received his master’s degree at the Music Academy in Vienna where he studied under the tuition of Hans Swarowski (1971). Uroš​ ​Lajovic also attended master classes at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, where he studied with Bruno Maderna.
He was an assistant conductor (1972-1978) and chief conductor (1978-1991) of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, chief conductor of the Chamber Orchestra RTV Ljubljana (1974-1976), chief conductor of the Zagreb Symphony Orchestra (1979-1981), founder and conductor of the chamber orchestra Slovenicum in Ljubljana (1989-2001), and was chief conductor of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra (2001–2006).
As a guest conductor, Lajovic conducted such orchestras as: Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Radio Leipzig Orchestra, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Moscow State Orchestra, Prague Philharmonics, Belgian National Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and many others world well-known orchestras.
​​​He was awarded numerous awards including the Vienna Music Academy Award (1971) and 2nd Prize „Guido Cantelli“ at the Teatro alla Scala, Milan.



Denis Goldfeld was born into a family of musicians in Ufa in the former Soviet Union. He received his first violin lessons from his grandfather Boris Goldfeld at the age of six. Three years later, he was admitted to the Chelyabinsk music school for especially talented children as a pupil ov Juri Volgin. At the age of eleven, Goldfeld won the grand prize in the Russian national violin competition.
In 1990, Goldfeld began studying with professor Zachar Bron at the Lubeck Music Academy, and received his concert diploma in 2000. Especially important for the young artist was the cooperation with Isaac Stern in 1995-98. Goldfeld has won several international competitions, for instance in Lublin, Bayreuth and Iserlohn.
Nowadays, Denis Goldfeld is an eagerly sought-after guest on concert stages around the world. He has performed with many prominent artists in Europe, USA and Israel. He has visited many important festivals, for instance in Schleswig-Holstein, Colmar, Biarritz and Rheingau.
As a chamber musician, Goldfeld cooperates regularly with his brother, pianist Vadim Goldfeld and together they have performed on stages from Amsterdam and Paris to New York and Tokyo. In April 2005, Goldfeld made his Tokyo debut together with pianist Pavel Gililov. Denis Goldfeld has also formed a piano trio together with cellist Wolfgang Schmidt and pianist Edgar Nebolsin.
